Kentfield, CA (February 14, 2017) – One of the core components of the Vibrant life® program, is for our residents to be connected, not only to each other, but to the community as a whole. One of the ways we do that is by partnering with Love Is The Answer-Marin (LITA MARIN).
Dena Selix is the Intergenerational Coordinator of LITA MARIN, who facilitates regular visits to WindChime from 5th grade students of Saint Raphael School in San Rafael.
Recently, she told us about an opportunity started by Nancy’s List to create a connection with pediatric cancer patients at UCSF, by sending Valentine’s Day cards to the kids from our residents.
Residents and staff decorated and signed Valentine’s Day cards with hearts and well wishes, before enclosing them in bags containing Valentine’s Day-themed pencils, sharpeners and erasers.
A big thank you to Dena for coordinating the delivery to UCSF Children’s Hospital! Happy Valentine’s Day!
