The Presidio, San Francisco, CA (12/20/2017) – “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” ~ Walt Disney
This beautiful weather we’ve been having this December lent itself to a field trip to San Francisco, where we visited the Walt Disney Family Museum.
Housed in the old 30th Infantry barracks, the museum is three floors of Walt Disney’s life and work. From his childhood to his death in 1966, every aspect of Walt’s life is covered and included in interactive displays, and brought to life by docents who speak on subjects such as Disney’s cartoon work before he created Mickey Mouse.
There is also a café and gift shop inside, although we opted to bring our own sandwiches for a picnic on the front porch.
A wonderful setting, and a must-see for Disney fans.
Never Stop Exploring is a signature Vibrant Life® program, one of many that help our Alzheimer’s and Dementia-care residents stay connected to their dreams as well as to the community.
