Creativity often stays strong even when words become harder to find. Residents paint, sculpt, and craft in guided sessions where the fun is in the making, not the finished product. Music fills the calendar too, from live performances to sing-alongs featuring the songs residents grew up with, along with cultural celebrations and visits from local students.
These sessions adapt on the fly, simplifying a project, switching an instrument, or shifting focus, so every resident can participate at their own comfort level. Family members are always welcome to join in, whether that means picking up a paintbrush or just tapping along to the music. The point is never a perfect result, it's the joy of taking part. Whether a resident paints, sings, or simply taps along to the music, these moments spark connection and pride, and they give families a lovely way to join in too.
