Holidays, cultural events, festivals, and personal milestones keep residents connected to the traditions they love. The details of a holiday may fade, but the feeling of it doesn't. The scent of a holiday meal, familiar music, and festive decorations reach people in a way words sometimes can't, stirring memories of family gatherings from decades past. Celebrations also give the year a comforting rhythm, helping residents stay connected to the seasons.
We learn each resident's traditions when they move in, so their own heritage shows up on the calendar, right down to the latkes and the soda bread. Personal milestones get the full treatment too: birthdays and anniversaries come with favorite cakes, favorite songs, and, whenever possible, family around the table. Loved ones are always invited to join the festivities.
