Brittany Karlinski

Executive Director

Joined the WindChime of Marin Team: July 2017

Years of experience: Seven years of health care experience, five spent working as a nurse.

Background in field or industry: LVN license, RCFE certified. I’ve worked in skilled nursing facilities, in hospitals and as a resident care director. Four years of management experience.

Why do you love what you do: As a nurse working with Alzheimer’s residents, my goal is to provide a safe environment while promoting self-worth and dignity for our residents. I want each resident to be able to do as much for him/herself as possible while having a meaningful life. I have chosen the geriatric field of nursing because I love working with seniors and caring for residents with Alzheimer’s disease. They are so interesting and have had so many life experiences.

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: There are nine seasons and 201 episodes of “The Office,” and I have seen every single one seven times.

Lauren Cottman

Generations Program Director

Joined the WindChime of Marin Team: August 2019

Years of experience:  I have 11 years of health care experience, specifically in long-term care. This includes skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, home care and independent living

Background in field or industry:  I have worked to create programs that focus on individualized care planning for residents in all stages of their aging journey and has worked closely with nursing and care staff as a mentor to encourage their development and ensure that they have the tools they need to be successful.

Why do you love what you do: Working in memory care communities has become one of my favorite levels of care. I believe it is a true gift to assist and mentor staff about providing excellent care services that are specifically tailored to the individual resident. My goals are to make sure each resident feels that their care plans are designed to focus on their comfort, safety and preferences and to enhance the programs provided to promote each resident’s independence. I love working with seniors because of the years of wisdom they are able to share with me.

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: Although I didn’t grow up playing sports, I have grown to enjoy basketball. Oftentimes, you can find me at Golden State Warriors games.

Culinary Services Director

Joined the WindChime of Marin Team: October 2012

Years of experience: 22 years of culinary experience

Background in field or industry: Most of my experience is in restaurants and hospitals.

Why do you love what you do: I am honored to have such a strong background in serving the elderly. I love to cook and seeing our residents happy while they enjoy the food I make.

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: I am generally a very happy person. I have three daughters. I like to hike and go camping.

Antonio Gonzalez

Building Services Director

Years of experience: 30 years of experience.

Background in field or industry: Most of my experience is working for the senior community. I have worked for skill nursing, independent living, assisted living and memory care. I have learned a lot from the senior community personally and professionally.

Why do you love what you do: It is a great satisfaction to contribute to our residents’ well-being, making them feel comfortable and important.

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: I have three children, two of whom are still kids. I like to see them play sports and play games with them on weekends. My favorite pastime is watching sports and music videos. Also, I love to travel to Mexico.

Gary Forer

Director of Sales and Marketing

Joined the WindChime of Marin Team: August 2018

Years of experience: 30 years of experience in sales and marketing

Background in field or industry: Three decades of marketing and sales experience in our community. Throughout my career, I have worked with companies as diverse as Central Casting; a fashion jewelry manufacturer, WineFlite: the first online international wine shipping company, and as a business consultant focused on helping companies grow their businesses.

Why do you love what you do: I love meeting new people and helping them as they struggle to understand what it takes to pick the right community for their loved one.

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: I love playing the piano and engaging with our children and the rest of our family.

Vibrant Life Director

Joined the WindChime of Marin Team: August 2019

Years of experience: 5 years of experience

Background in field or industry: . Prior to my current position, I was a CNA for four years and an activity assistant for one year.

Why do you love what you do: I love learning about the life experiences of residents and the feeling of making a difference in their lives

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: I'm a die-hard ’49er and Oakland A’s fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Antonio Ibarra

Business Office Director

Joined the WindChime of Marin Team: October 17, 2018

Years of experience: Eight years as a business office director

Background in field or industry: I have worked in this industry for 10 years – two years as an activity director and eight years as business office director.

Why do you love what you do: With the diversity of work that I do, it always keeps me focused and motivated, and everyone shares the same vision and is committed to the mission on bettering the community.

Fun fact about yourself outside of work: I am a percussionist. Although semi-retired, I still go to gigs once a while. I’m also a first-time grandfather to a grandson whose birthday was the same day I was offered my position here at WindChime of Marin.
